Lars was a soldier after his school days. He did nine months of basic military service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment in the Danish army. After completing his military service, he decided that it wasn't what he wanted and began searching for something new. He decided to pursue a degree in biology. In the midst of this half-year course, Anette came home from an juggler's class and showed her how well she could do juggling after only three days. Lars was thrilled and was eager to try it. He dropped out of college and enrolled in juggling schools. He also studied fire breathing and juggling. He then travelled with two of his friends throughout Europe as a touring artist, performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. He was introduced to the children's circus two more years after. There he also learned pantomime for children and street theater.
