Vinita Nair

She joined ABC News in July of 2004 and has been a reporter on a range of topics including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings close to Bailey, Colorado. Nair was promoted to ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 for ABC News Now. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent delivered live reports as well as briefings for ABC's network. Nair co-anchored World News Now on ABC starting on September 17 the 17th of September, 2008. through Feb. 18, 2011, as well as America This Morning. In both programs, she was partnered first with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair made it clear to viewers on World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. Also, it would be her final day at ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. Each of the three segments of World News Now's broadcast on February 18, Nair was honored by current and past colleagues such including Jeremy Hubbard.
