Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 followed by a medal of bronze in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia started her professional career in 2003, and she was the winner of an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious by second round TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and came back with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera using knees. After this win, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
